Overview
This article will tell you how to view and understand forecast performance in QU.
The Performance Tab displays the number of items sold this week (T) vs the same items forecast for (T) - x weeks, where (T) = the forecast lag.
Example:
As an example:
A retailer wants to know QU's ability to predict demand for its products five weeks in advance.
Forecast bar shows how many items were forecast to be sold 5 weeks ago
For the same items that were forecast weeks ago the Sales bar shows the actual sales
IMPORTANT
For the same week, the Performance tab may show different sales numbers to the Forecast tab. Because the list of items being sold is the same list of items predicted to sell (T) weeks ago (where T is the forecast lag).
View Performance

1. Click on the Performance tab (2nd from right) to view a chart of forecast vs actuals sales.
- The Forecast is the final locked forecast.
- The Sales are the sales for the same items that were forecast.
2. Hover over the bars for a week, to display the exact number of Forecast and Sales.
3. Change the date range above the chart to view performance over time.
4. The chart is colour coded:
- Turquoise = Forecast
- Blue = Sales

Performance Charts
There are 2 charts that can be used to view Forecast Performance.
1. Click on the Bar Chart icon on the right panel next to the chart to see the forecast & sales in a Bar Chart view.
2. Click on the Line Chart icon on the right panel next to the chart to see the forecast & sales in a Line Chart view.
2. Toggle the Forecast & Sales Checkboxes in the legend to see either only forecast or only sales.
3. Click the download button to save an image of the chart
View Performance by Products or Channels
You can view forecast performance vs sales actuals at any level of the product hierarchy and channel hierarchy.
1. Click on the Performance tab.
2. Go to the Product and/or channel hierarchy and select one to many products to display in the performance tab.
3. At the selected level of the hierarchy the Actuals & Forecast will be the aggregated number for the whole group.
